FILM POSTER

Image result for action and adventure film posterMonster House (2006)
I chose this film to analyse because it is a Fantasy and Mystery genre which is different to our film Imminent Threat but contains similar features and shows off the film very well; As well as having some connections narratively and visually.
It is about these 3 children turning into teenagers who like to explore. The 2 male characters meet the scout girl half way through the film and comes across a mysterious house and it's owner.
The owner is shown as a creepy and hidden character as he lost his wife many years ago. After burying her under the house, for several years people kept losing things like kites, balloons, bicycles and more. The two male children found this very mysterious and wanted to find out more. The house becomes her and after poking around for information and entering the house, it starts to move and eventually chases the kids. The film finishes on a good note as the house is destroyed leaving the kids still alive. It is very different to our Action and Adventure film but the overall plot slightly connects with out film.Overall, this image of Monster House displays what I would like to put on my film poster as it is clear who the protagonists are and the intense/creepy setting which sets the tone before we see the film. Despite it being a chaotic and tense plot, it is very different to a disaster movie itself. On my poster I also want to utilize the idea of the 3 kids with their backs turned standing in a strong but uneasy stance to show what they will be like in our film trailer. The clever feature of the trees aids the eeriness and off putting feelings amongst the general emotions. It covers most of the poster's edges signalling the children are closed or trapped.
